I wanted to take a moment to extend my deepest gratitude to you for including ‘2020 Year of the Nurse’ in the inaugural Red Fish Film Fest. Your kindness and support mean the world to us.
The warmth and hospitality shown by the town during the festival were truly heartwarming. From the moment we arrived, we were met with nothing but kindness, love, and admiration. It's clear the community holds a special place in their hearts for filmmakers and their stories, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have been a part of such an incredible event.
Your dedication to showcasing a diverse range of films, including our own, speaks volumes about your commitment to celebrating creativity and storytelling in all its forms. It was an honor to have our film featured alongside so many talented artists.

It was inspiring to see how much effort you guys put in, and even the things I didn’t see. It really showed that you wanted this to be more than just a snobby little film festival for filmmakers and local artists. I tried my best to rub elbows with your swanky elites Thursday and Saturday night and do nothing but praise you two and tried to point out how different the festival felt and the potential I could see.
The only downer was not having enough time to meet more people or see more films!! Outside of discussing Interstellar with James and Madison, learning how to make a pitch deck from Deb and Brian, selling an idea to streamers and learning the biz from Cori, and getting to screen the Charlie Ward doc with a good chunk of people, the biggest highlight for me was also a very selfish one – showing people a trailer during the sizzle session and hearing how excited some were about the quality and the story despite not even liking sports. Having a couple new relationships just born out of those conversations is a pretty cool moment.
Consider me a friend and a fan for life and I look forward to seeing what you all keep doing in your careers.

I hope you both are completely exhausted from all that fun and completely overwhelmed with love from every single person who came into contact with Redfish! WOW! You two are such an incredible team, and that festival was amazing!! Can't wait to see where you take it for years to come.

My experience as a filmmaker attending the inaugural Redfish Film Fest exceeded all expectations. Organizers Kevin and Lex harnessed the full creative potential of downtown Panama City to deliver screenings at multiple venues within easy walking distance, excellent filmmaker panels, and crazy-good evening parties. Their communication was clear and quick, and they promoted every film before the fest.
An army of 'Charm Squad' volunteers were on hand to help with anything. Everywhere you look, you see red and redfish themes. The local businesses created unique Redfish offerings, like the Red Holland Amber Ale at the History Class Brewery. There are lots of great films and genuinely wonderful people. This festival is well on its way to being one of the top festivals in the country.

Redfish was an incredible festival that was beautifully organized and wonderfully executed. There were artsy happenings in the street at night and music and performances and posters everywhere to celebrate the film festival. The venues were great and all very close together in the historic center.
The films were curated with care and very interesting. Lots of filmmakers and Q & A. No glitches in the screenings! It was thrilling and lots of fun. One of our best screenings, with great audience enthusiasm. The organizers Kevin and Lexx were promoting this for months and came up with amazing creative ways to get the public excited -- and get filmmakers excited. I can't wait to see what they do for next year!
